Running with Rocky

The joys and inconveniences of running with a dog! There's a knack to running with a dog. You can't run too fast otherwise if you have to stop suddenly or they run in front of you, you go flying, trust me been there! You have to be patient when they want to stop and sniff at every leaf or bin or blade of grass! But be prepared to gently pull them otherwise you'll never get anywhere! There's a skill in picking up mess in the dark! We won't go there though but definitely a skill! You have to be prepared in case they suddenly dash out in road or yank your arm. On the flip side Ricky's always up for a run never says 'can't be bothered, its too cold or later!' He always happy to see me, ecstatic in fact. He's company when its gloomy! He lives in the moment which makes me do the same, makes me notice a colour or sunrise or a tree. He gives the best kisses and cuddles when you've got home, doesn't even mind the sweat! All in all a great running partner!
