Perspective

Hard going this morning, sleety rain stuff coming down. Very bleak. Even Rocky didnt want to go out (but I know at 9am he'd be racing around when I'm trying to work and kids are on zoom lessons!). So we went out, what motivated me? Habit? Knowing he had to get out, knowing I have a run to do this year! I dont know but I had to dig deep. As I got my head down, feeling bit sorry for myself, I saw a friend in the village also running. She said 'have you seen the fire?' Me 'no'. Apparently there was a fire nearby, which put everything in perspective really! I dont even know what the fire was, still don't but made me 'suck it up' and get on with it. Was it really a hardship to go running in the dark? No not really, people have it a lot worse. So even when Rocky tried to pull me in a ditch and hid under the bushes from the rain and legged it fast up the hill with me huffing and puffing behind him, as he'd seen 'something' move at the top! I had to remind myself, this wasn't that bad! Perspective, just depends how you look at things!
