I was thinking today that if I think too long term its pretty overwhelming! Take my 1000 miles, its a long way. If I focus on 1000 miles it's pretty disheartening; months and months of running. So what I'm doing is concentrating on a day at a time; the most a weeks run at a time. 5 miles today, aim for 25 miles a week. That's doable, that keeps me focused, heartened and motivated. The covid situation, plans for the future, its too much, as so many unknowns and plans I can't make. I can't make things happen, I don't know how things are going to turn out, what the time scales are. Pretty overwhelming to think of what's happening and what may happen. My focus: one day at a time, we'll get there, we'll get through this; I will finish my run, taking one day at a time.
