Beating boredom

Yesterday I had a frustrating, bored feeling day. Was just bored of this whole situation, even bored of going on a run, doing the same route. Its not the hardest thing in the world, staying in, not socialising, not going out where you want etc, we're safe, got a warm house, food and company. So I'm not moaning as I know I'm lucky. I was just bored and wanted to do something different. I got my running shoes on anyway and went out, on a slightly different route! My the time I was on my way back I felt slightly more motivated, telling myself situation won't last forever, there's loads I can be getting on with, decorating, cooking, baking, reading etc. Its really not that bad, i can feel lucky as well as bored! Then I spotted a pebble in the bushes, one of those pebbles the kids paint and leave for people to find. It was out of view but the vibrant red caught my eye, it said 'stay strong.' What a lovely message. Strong doesn't mean never feeling sad or never feeling bored or upset, for me it means staying positive, acknowledging hard feelings and the tough situation, but staying focused on wellbeing, looking after loved ones and having hope.
